Dr. Raivo Tamkivi brings the IPI Team twenty years of experience in technology transfer in Estonia, other locations in Eastern Europe, and the developing world. Former managing director of Tartu Science Park, Tallinn Technical University Innovation Centre, and the TEHNOPOL Tallinn Technology Park (where he now serves as Counsellor), Raivo is a recognized expert in preparation, launch and operations of science and technology parks.  

A long time member of the International Association of Science Parks, Dr. Tamkivi served as vice president, then president of IASP 2002-2006. He is a member of the Science Park and Innovation Centre Expert Group, the Baltic Association of Science/Technology Parks and Innovation Centres, and serves on the Board of Enterprise Estonia. He has been a speaker at over 70 international scientific and professional meetings, and has more than 75 scientific and professional publications.

Raivo received his B.Sc. and Ph.D. in solid state physics from Tartu University.
