Senior Consultant

Rhonda Vinson, PhD, is a former S. Illinois University faculty member and administrator with extensive rural economic development and business incubation experience.  Dr. Vinson is well known for her involvement in rural development through activities such as participation on the National Rural Development Council and the Illinois Rural Development Council.

Dr. Vinson served as president of the Lower Mississippi River Delta Commission, as a consultant to the US Department of Energy, Arkansas Department of Higher Education and Rutgers University among others. Dr. Vinson established an SBDC at Southern Illinois University that she grew into a successful technology incubator and eventually a university-related technology park. She also represented SIU in local chambers of commerce, Main Street organizations, and service clubs. She was instrumental in the development of feasibility studies and business plans for the Rutgers Business Innovation Center, Rowan University, and several other incubator development activities as well.

Dr. Vinson holds a B.S., M.S. and PhD from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
