New Jersey Entrepreneurs Forum (NJEF)

Featured Projects

It all started in the early 1990s when IPI assumed management of the New Jersey Entrepreneurs Forum, a program of the NJ Commission on Science and Technology that was originally modeled after the popular MIT Enterprise Forum.  It was easy to see the value in connecting tech entrepreneurs with investors, and the Forum was a great way to make it happen while imparting valuable information about starting, managing and financing a new company.  In 1995, NJEF was spun off from the State of New Jersey and IPI established the Forum as a non-profit corporation. NJEF then became a leading pipeline to the service and capital providers who help companies in the start-up phase of development. Jeff Milanette, IPI President, led NJEF as President and CEO for 17 years. NJEF was a great complement to IPI’s other entrepreneurship activities such as consulting, incubation and work on the New Jersey Venture Fair.
